Have you ever heard of Hosea Youth Services? Hosea Youth Services helps area kids who are in need and provides shelter, meals, vocational assistance, and spiritual guidance. Last night we went to their charity auction and had a great time.
We were the high bidder on a really cool lamp we got for the biggest fishing fan in Eugene. Special thanks to Bill and Gretchen for introducing us to this neat ministry.
Side note: Have you heard of renown golfer Casey Martin? He donated a round of golf which fetched over $500. Another golf package was later up for bid, this time with local good guy Allen Ruggles. He is not quite as famous as Casey but, amazingly, his package fetched more. The winner of that second package: Casey Martin! Casey Martin seems like a pretty cool guy.
